COMMITMENT ALERT | Ethan Mulhearn commits to Hobart College

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Jr. Senators are proud to announce that team captain Ethan Mulhearn has committed to NCAA Division III Hobart College (Geneva, NY).

Mulhearn, 20, was acquired from the Cornwall Colts prior to last season and took home the OJS 3 Stars Award, along with the team’s Top Scorer Award.

In 237 career CCHL games, Mulhearn has tallied 50 goals and 85 assists for 135 points split between Cornwall and OJS.

“I really enjoyed my time here in Ottawa,” said Mulhearn. “I’ve learned a lot from my coaches and I have nothing but good things to say about the OJS organization. This year wasn’t quite the year we hoped for, but I’m really excited for the next four years at Hobart for my collegiate career.”

Last season, Mulhearn became the Jr. Senators number one centre, leading the team in points, with 50. To this point in CCHL Developmental Scrimmage Action, the Williamstown, Ontario native has posted two goals and an assist in five games.

“We are extremely happy for Ethan and his family,” said Head Coach and GM Martin Dagenais. “He has worked tirelessly on and off the ice to create this fantastic opportunity to continue his playing career. Hobart is a quality institution and we are confident that Ethan will make a positive impact for their hockey program while continuing to excel in the classroom.”

The Jr. Senators continue to await the start of the CCHL season.
